Feeling very weary!!

Had a wonderful weekend at the Women on Top Health Forum in Launceston. Liz Ellis was a speaker and I recommend that if you ever get the chance to hear her speak then take the chance. She spoke about "Finding your Passion" and was very funny and enjoyable to listen to.

Work has been very hectic and I am feeling like I never get enought timw to sit and enjoy the view. It seems that between work and chores the months are whizzing by. I had hoped that King Island would afford more time to do the enjoyable things like spending time with the kids. Maybe I need to have a spring clean and get organised again. Take time to stop and have a breather. Keenan did say to me this morning that we never do anything fun anymore. Such a mean mother that I am.

I will leave you with an image of King Island. Scrapping on friday night so I will have some current layouts to share with you hopefully.

Women on Top

Sounds kinky but it's not. Tasmania's Women on Top Health Forum starts tomorrow and I am flying off the Island today to attend. It looks like it will be a fun filled two days with loads of workshops and a great oppurtunity to network with other Tasmanian women. I will fill you in all the action on Sunday when I return.

More layouts

Here are a few more from my cruise album. I really like how the border came up on the single page layout. Thats just done with the white gel pen and black scrapbooking pen. Not quite sure if the other feels finished. Thought I  might stitch around the photos.

Scrapbooking

Even though I have not had the chance to do any scrapbooking the last few days I thought I would share some layouts that I have oput together for my cruise album. The idea of the album was to keep the pages similar with the same backing card and simple embelishments. Now some of the layouts may cause you to laugh out loud because of the photos on them but keep in mind that we had ALOT of FUN.

Mum is in her last week here and I am sad about it. We spent the day yesterday with a friend playing cards and having a lovely old time. We made homemade soup and homemade bread. Mum whipped up some yummy mars bar slice. Had to hide that from Anthony as he loves it. Kids entertained themselves and a good day was had by all. Pity I am back into the swing of things at work today.

Having a nice time

We are all having a lovely time with mum here. As per usual the whole time goes for too quickly. We really have not done a great deal other than hang out and enjoy each others company.

The kids are now on school holidays for the next 2 weeks so they are lapping up nanny time.

I will try an dsome photos of our adventure. I have added a picture of when we went to the beach a month or so ago. Kids have no feeling because in they went even though the water was freezing.

We went down to the beach today an dhad a stroll after we devoured scones and King Island cream at Bert's Cafe. This beach has the most gorgeous little coloured shells. I have never seen shells so small. They are beautiful.

Ok I am going to wake all the sleepy heads up as they have dosed of on the couch. Slacko's!!!!

I am going to scrap tomorrow no matter what.

Happy Mother's Day

I hope all you mothers out there had a lovely day. I know I did. We went for a yummy lunch and I hung out with the kids not doing much of anything.

I had a scrapbooking owrkshop on Friday night which was fun. It is great to get together with others who enjoy the same thing.

My mum arrives on Saturday. We are all pretty excited about that. Just wish I could have the whole three weeks off while she is here.

Not much happening here so I will check in later in the week.

Women on Top Forum

I have been selected to go to the Women on Top Health Forum that will be held in Tassie in early June.

I am really looking forward to going with guest speakers Liz Ellis and Sue-Ann Post (comedian and writer). There is lots on the program and it will be a full 2 days. I then have to come back to King Island and share the event with other King Island women.

Weekend

What a wonderful weekend we had. It went all too quickly with Nic and the gang leaving yesterday.

We chatted non stop. It was so nice having a friend around that knows you. I have friends on the Island but it seems to take a long time to get that comfortable feeling. Hanging with Nic is like an old pair of shoes. Completely comfortable. I love that there was no pressure to go and sightsee and everyone was happy just to vege!! The kids were wonderful. We barely saw the boys as they spent most of the weekend in the room with the lego. As for the girls they helped us out and were happy to do their own thing most of the time.

We did more baking and Anthony was more than pleased when Nic made him a gluten free slice. Now you have set the bar Nic and Anthony will be expecting bloody miracles from me. The kids have devoured all the chocolate balls and requested more. I know what I will be doing on the weekend.

Nic gave me a stash of new scrapbooking supplies for my birthday. They are just wonderful and with Anthony off the Island for the 5 days next week I know what I will be doing. It is a pity that work will get in the way.
